  • Geologic Description = The host rock of the occurrence is a Tertiary iron-stained, muscovite granite dike which cuts hornfelsed slate and graywacke of the Cretaceous Valdez Group. The dike contains disseminated pyrite and (by atomic absorption analysis) 0.15 ppm gold (MacKevett and Holloway, 1977).
