Deposit A LITTLE FINE GOLD CAN BE PANNED FROM PRACTICALLY ALL THE STREAMS DRAINING THE NORTH FLANK OF THE CHUGACH MOUNTAINS.
Deposit STREAM GRAVELS 8 TO 12 FT DEEP; GOLD ON BEDROCK AND LOWER 2 FT OF GRAVEL AND IN TOP 1 FT OF RIPPABLE SHALE BEDROCK; BENCH PLACERS MINED TO LESSER EXTENT. IN 1939 A 3 TON COPPER NUGGET WAS FOUND ON DAN CREEK
