Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Lower Paleozoic phyllite of Reed and Nelson's (1980) Pzsv unit contains a stratiform lens of chalcocite five centimeters thick. Copper carbonate minerals are sporadically present in the surrounding area (Reed and others, 1978).
  • Age = Lower Paleozoic; Assumed to be age of enclosing phyllite, assigned to the lower Paleozoic by Reed and Nelson (1980).

Economic information about the deposit and operations

Commodity type Metallic

Comments on exploration

  • Status = Inactive

Mining district

District name McGrath

Comments on the workings information

  • Workings / Exploration = Reconnaissance mapping, stream silt and rock sampling are all that have been done here. Copper carbonate minerals are sporadically present in the surrounding area (Reed and others, 1978).
