Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This occurrence is described only as copper sulfides and/or malachite-azurite stains in Devonian limestone and siltstone overlying the Skajit Limestone (Brosgi and Reiser, 1964). A small body of greenstone is nearby. Schmidt (1997, loc. 50) includes this prospect in a group of three, presumably similar deposits. They consist of quartz veinlets containing malachite-azurite plus or minus pyrite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite in the Silurian and Devonian Skajit(?) Limestone and overlying siltstone and limestone (Beaucoup Formation?). No other information is available.
