Zones over 150 meters long occur in middle Paleozoic or older schist of the Yukon-Tanana terrane. Intense alteration occurs along the zones. Grab samples contain up to 3.9 grams per ton Au (Menzie and others, 1983; Nokleberg and others, 1987).
