Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Rulby Creek was prospected and produced a little placer gold in the early 1900's (Collier and others, 1908). The creek flows across a higher gravel deposit, probably glacial, that carries small amounts of gold. This locality is within an area of iron and related base metal mineralization (NM014, NM014, NM017, NM018, NM019, and NM020) that locally includes some anomalous gold values (for example, NM014).
  • Age = Quaternary.
