Deposit THE AREA IS UNDERLAIN MAINLY BY ANDESITIC TO DACITIC FLOWS AND AGGLOMERATES, ANDESITIC AND FELSIC TUFFS, VOLCANICLASTIC SANDSTONES AND SILTSTONES, AND GRAYWACKE OF THE JURASSIC AND LOWER CRETACEOUS KOYUKUK TERRANE. SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE AREA ARE YOUNGER (TERTIARY ?) FELSIC AND MAFIC DIKES WHICH CUT THE OLDER ROCKS. A COMPLETE GEOLOGIC DESCRIPTION OF THE STUYAHOK AREA IS AVAILABLE IN USGS OPEN-FILE REPORT 96-505-A (MILLER AND OTHERS, 1996)
