Relative position This site is on the beach near the workings of the Amok Gold Mining Company (ARDF No. KD001), and is located on the east side of Amook Bay in sec. 29, T. 31 S., R. 28 W., of the Seward Meridian. The Amok Gold Mine site is referenced by Martin 1913, locality 7; Berg and Cobb, 1967, figure 15, locality 12; Cobb, 1972, MF 460, locality 2; McGee, 1972, locality 9; and MacKevett and Holloway 1977, locality 2. Site location is accurate to within a few hundred feet.
