  • VEINS ARE CRUSHED, RECEMENTED, CROSS FOLIATION OF SCHIST COUNTRY ROCK, AND ARE COMPLEXLY FAULTED, MAKING MINING DIFFICULT. VEINS CUT CREST OF LOW ANTICLINE, MUCH BROKEN BY AN INTRICATE SYSTEM OF FAULTS. FAULTS WITH THE GREATEST THROW STRIKE PARALLEL TO VEIN. ONE ZONE OF CONTORTED SCHIST AND GOUGE 30-40 FT. WIDE.

Deposit LODE IS GOLD, STIBNITE, ARSENOPYRITE, PYRITE, SPHALERITE, GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE, JAMESONITE, COVELLITE, AND SCHEELITE BEARING VEINS CUTTING SCHIST IN FAULT ZONE. GOLD INTRODUCED AT TWO DIFFERENT STAGES; FIRST WITH QUARTZ AND SECOND WITH SULFIDES. GOLD IRREGULARLY DISTRIBUTED THROUGH VEIN MATERIAL IN VISIBLE PARTICLES UNCOMBINED WITH OTHER ELEMENTS. IN SOME PLACES THE VEIN IS RICHEST ADJACENT TO WALLS; IN OTHER PLACES IT IS RICHEST IN CENTER. SULPHIDE RICH PORTIONS OF VEINS ALSO CONTAIN GOLD. PRINCIPAL VEIN AVERAGES ABOUT 1 FT. IN THICKNESS; MAXIMUM THICKNESS 3 FT. SMALLER PARALLEL VEINS IN BOTH HANGING AND FOOTWALLS. AT LEAST ONE INTERSECTING VEIN IS LARGELY STIBNITE. THIN LIMESTONE BEDS IN SCHIST CONTAIN SCHEELITE. CASSITERITE IN WEATHERED VEIN MATERIAL.
