| Deposit | LODE IS GOLD, STIBNITE, ARSENOPYRITE, PYRITE, SPHALERITE, GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE, JAMESONITE, COVELLITE, AND SCHEELITE BEARING VEINS CUTTING SCHIST IN FAULT ZONE. GOLD INTRODUCED AT TWO DIFFERENT STAGES; FIRST WITH QUARTZ AND SECOND WITH SULFIDES. GOLD IRREGULARLY DISTRIBUTED THROUGH VEIN MATERIAL IN VISIBLE PARTICLES UNCOMBINED WITH OTHER ELEMENTS. IN SOME PLACES THE VEIN IS RICHEST ADJACENT TO WALLS; IN OTHER PLACES IT IS RICHEST IN CENTER. SULPHIDE RICH PORTIONS OF VEINS ALSO CONTAIN GOLD. PRINCIPAL VEIN AVERAGES ABOUT 1 FT. IN THICKNESS; MAXIMUM THICKNESS 3 FT. SMALLER PARALLEL VEINS IN BOTH HANGING AND FOOTWALLS. AT LEAST ONE INTERSECTING VEIN IS LARGELY STIBNITE. THIN LIMESTONE BEDS IN SCHIST CONTAIN SCHEELITE. CASSITERITE IN WEATHERED VEIN MATERIAL. |
