Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Small color anomaly in Unalaska Formation (see Drewes and others, 1961) at contact with porphyritic diorite. Diorite has miarolitic cavities and contains less than 0.5 percent pyrite and abundant magnetite. Christie (1974) reports this as a small system, yet in notes indicates it is a 1 mile (1.6 km) by 0.5 mile (800 m) northeast trending zone.
