  • Geologic Description = According to Jansons and others (1984), fine gold is disseminated in poorly washed fluvial glacial gravels derived from a glacier on north and east flanks of Unakwik Peak. An alluvium sample contained 0.00013 oz Au/cubic yard. The bedrock on Unakwik Peak is metasedimentary rocks of the Late Cretaceous Valdez Group.
