Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = At this location several quartz veins cut granodiorite, strike N. 60 W. and dip 82 southwest. The veins, up to 3 feet in thickness, contain several inches of massive pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite. Pyrrhotite is also disseminated throughout the quartz. Parts of the veins are vuggy and parts contain considerable muscovite. A sample collected by Rose and Richter ran trace gold, 0.40 ounce per ton silver, 0.1 percent copper, and trace arsenic. A few small pits have been dug on the veins.
  • Age = Tertiary
