  • ACCORDING TO USBM THE PEAK YEAR OF PRODUCTION WAS 1953 WHEN 9,600 T OF ORE WERE PRODUCED. ACCORDING TO ROBERTSON RESEARCH ATLAS, 3,000 T OF ORE WAS MINED BY JAPANESE IN WWII. UP TO 1959, 20,OOOT OF ORE WAS MINED BY "PRIMITIVE METHODS".
