Comments on the reserve resource information

  • THE POTENTIAL RESERVES OF THE IN-SITU PORTION OF THE DEPOSIT BASED ON THE PRESENT OUTCROP PATTERN (TO A DEPTH OF ABOUT 40 M BELOW THE SURFACE) ARE ABOUT 250,000 TONS WITH AN AVERAGE GRADE OF 15-20% MN. THE LATERITIC HARDCAP SURROUNDING THE MANGANESE HORIZON CONTAINS LUMPS OF MANGANESE ORE AND MAY CONTAIN AN ADDITIONAL 250,000 TONS OF ORE BUT AT A LOWER GRADE. UNLESS MAPPING INDICATES THAT THE HORIZON ALONG STRIKE, THE LIMITED STRIKE LENGTH, TONNAGE POTENTIAL AND LOW GRADE OF THIS DEPOSIT DO NOT WARRANT ANY FURTHER WORK AT THIS TIME.

Comments on the workings information

  • THREE TRENCHES WERE DUG ACROSS THE HORIZON BY THE DNGM AND YIELDED AN AVERAGE GRADE OF 15.8% MN.

General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THIN BANDS APPEARED TO BE FINE-GRAINED MICA AND/OR GARNET. IN SOME PLACES THE BANDING WAS INTENSELY FOLDED INTO SMALL-SCALE (A=50 CM) FOLDS. THE ORIENTATION OF THE MAJORITY OF THE OUTCROPS IS N40W 60-70W. A NORTHEAST TRENDING FAULT APPEARS TO TRUNCATE AND OFFSET THE THICKEST PORTION OF THE HORIZON.
