| Deposit | INTERBEDS OF ULEXITE WITH SMALL AMOUNTS OF INYOITE OCCUR IN PINKISH MUDSTONE OF THE BLANCA LILA FM. THE DEPOSITS ARE COVERED BY TRAVERTINE AND CARBONATE-CEMETNED SANDSTONE. ULEXITE IS IN BEDS COMMONLY 10-20 CM THICK (MAXIMUM 50 CM). THE ULEXITE FORMS FLAT-LYING LENTICULAR BEDS OF HARD, HIGH-GRADE ULEXITE WITH LITTLE SALINE CONTENT. THE TOTAL THICKNESS OF THE BORATE-BEARING SECTION IS 0.5-1.2 M THICK. THE DEPOSITS ARE CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THERMAL SPRINGS ACTIVE DURING THE PLEISTOCENE AND HOLOCENE. |
