Deposit INTERBEDS OF ULEXITE WITH MINOR INYOITE OCCUR IN PINKISH MUDSTONE. BORATE UNIT IS OVERLAIN BY TRAVERTINE AND CARBONATE CEMENTED SANDSTONE. ULEXITE IS DISTRIBUTED IRREGULARLY IN BEDS 10-50 CM THICK. MOST OCCURRENCES ARE FLAT-LYING, HARD, AND HIGH GRADE ULEXITE WITH A LOW SALINE CONTENT. INYOITE OCCURS AS GROWTHS IN THE ULEXITE OR AS REDDISH-BROWN BEDS OF CRYSTALLINE INYOITE. THE BORATE-BEARING SECTION TOTALS 0.5 TO 1.2 M THICK.
Deposit THE CRONEL BORETTI, CORONEL MOLLINEDO, AND CORONEL VIDT CONCESSIONS MAY ALSO OCCUR IN THIS AREA.
