  • SILURIAN SLATE, INTERCALATED WITH QUARTZITE BEDS WHICH HAVE BEEN FOLDED AND FRACTURED AS A RESULT OF THE INTRUSION OF THE HUAYNA POTOSI BATHOLITH. THE FRACTURES WERE SUBSEQUENTLY MINERALIZED.
