ONE LARGE BEDDING VEIN AND THREE SMALL BEDDING VEINS HAVE BEEN EXPOSED IN TRENCH WORKINGS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV |
| Deposit | ONE LARGE BEDDING VEIN AND 3 SMALL BEDDING VEINS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH SILICIFIED AREAS BORDERING THE DIKES. THE VEINS ARE PARALLEL TO THE LIMESTONE BEDDING. SCHEELITE OCCURS IN THESE THIN (UP TO 1 FT) QUARTZ VEINS ALONG WITH A LITTLE COLORLESS-BERYL, IRREGULARLY DISTRIB-UTED THROUGHOUT THE VEIN. AVERAGE TUNGSTEN CONTENT IS ABOUT 0.-5 % WO3. A SECOND VEIN 300 FT SOUTH AND 100 FT LOWER ON THE HI-LLSIDE IS 6 INCHES WIDE AND CONTAINS ABOUT 0.5 % WO3. A LOWER -CROSSCUT ADIT CUT SEVERAL QUARTZ VEINLETS 1-6 IN WIDE WHICH CO-NTAINED SCHEELITE. IN GENERAL, VEINS CONTAIN MINOR SERICITE, T-RACE OF DARK GREY SULFIDE AND SOME CALCITE. LIMESTONE NEAR VEI-NS IS PARTIALLY BLEACHED, PYRITIZED, AND RECRYSTALLIZED ALONG -BEDDING, AND NOW IRON-STAINED DUE TO OXIDATION OF PYRITE. |
