  • DURING WORLD WAR I ABOUT 850 TONS OF SORTED ORE CONTAINING MORE THAN 40 % MN WAS PRODUCED. SMALL PRODUCTION OF UNKNOWN TONNAGE AND GRADE OCCURRED IN THE EARLY 1940'S. FROM 1953 TO 1954 18.5 LONG TONS OF SORTED ORE AVERAGING 29.5 % MN WAS PRODUCED AND IN 1958 ABOUT 100 TONS OF MINE DUMPS WERE CONCENTRATED IN A SMALL GRAVITY MILL NEAR SOCORRO, N.M.
