Comments on the commodity information

  • DMA-1400 report says "This is a location claim on which there are several old shafts and tunnels driven in search of gold." It does not state if gold was actually found. It goes on to say that "Although tungsten is known at places on the Hoosier reef, no trace of tungsten was seen in any of the workings on the Red Lode claim, except possibly in one small pit now being worked by Mr. Blystad. The silicified granite in this pit contains small veinlets of specular hematite which the applicant has apparently confused with ferberite. In a few small siliceous veinlets, the hematite has a slightly brownish streak and may contain a little ferberite."
