Deposit IN THE OPEN CUT, THE ORE WAS FOUND IN A LAYER 12 IN. THICK BETWEEN HEAVY BEDS OF QUARTZITIC CHERT AND SANDSTONE WHICH DIP ABOUT 25 DEG. TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE SINK. IN THE 102 FT. SHAFT THE BEST SEAM OF ORE OCCURS AT A DEPTH OF 72 FT. AND CONSISTS OF 6 IN OF HARD BLUE HEMATITE CONTAINING SOME SAND AND CHERT.
