SNYDER SHAFT (4-FT DIAM) WAS SUNK TO 750 FT AND LIES 1340 FT S 43 W FROM NO 2. ELEVEN VENT HOLES TO SURFACE VARY FROM 25.5 TO 60 INCHES IN DIAMETER. FOLLOWING MEASUREMENTS MADE FROM MINE MAPS DATED APRIL 1971 IN CDM FILES. SNYDER WORKINGS DEVELOPED BY 4 BRANCHES FROM SHAFT: (1) SOUTH BRANCH TRENDS 50-15 E FOR 1700 FT, THENCE S 60 W FOR 800 FT, THENCE S 23 W FOR 450 FT, THENCE S 40 W FOR 800 FT, TERMINATING AT VENT HOLE 4, SUBSIDIARY BRANCHES TOTALING 2240 FT; (2) WEST BRANCH TRENDS DUE WEST FOR 350 FT; (3) NORTHWEST BRANCH TRENDS N 40 W FOR 250 FT, THENCE DUE WEST FOR 160 FT TO STATE LINE, THENCE AT LEAST 140 FT INTO UTAH; (4) NORTH BRANCH TRENDS DUE NORTH FOR 150 FT, THENCE N60E FOR 1200 FT., THENCE N 15 W FOR 350 FT, CONNECTING WITH DEREMO 2 SHAFT.
