  • HOSTROCKS ARE HIGHLY DEFORMED AND ALTERED. THE LIMESTONES ARE BLACK TO DARK GRAY, FINE-GRAINED, ARGILLACEOUS AND SILTY, THIN-BEDDED TO PLATY, WITH A BUNDANT BLACK CHERTY NODULES. THE QUARTZITES ARE LIGHT TAN, VERY FINE-GRAINED, FELDSPATHIC AND SILICEOUS.
