YEEND (1969) BELIEVES THE DIKE IS A FEEDER DIKE EQUIVALENT TO BASALT FLOWS ON GRAND AND BATTLEMENT MESAS. YEEND CITES K-AR DATE BY J.R. DONNELL OF 9.7 0.485 MY BP (PLIOCENE) FOR AGE OF FLOWS.
