Deposit SEVERAL POCKETS WORKED ON BOTH SIDES OF ADIT WALLS. DEPOSIT APPEARS TO BE ARTIFICIAL ENLARGEMENT OF SOLUTION CAVITY IN 2-FT-THICK CALCITE BED NEAR BASE OF LEADVILLE LIMESTONE. INTERCONNECTED VUGS FOUND IN TWO PARALLEL 6-IN.-WIDE ZONES ABOUT 2 FT APART. MERGING ABOUT 33 FT FROM PORTAL AND DISAPPEARING AT END OF ADIT. OXIDATION OF SULFIDES EVIDENT.
