| Deposit | MANGANES DEPOSITION OCCURS IN STEEPLY DIPPING SHEAR ZONES CUTTING RHYOLITE PORPHYRY. ABOUT 400 FT ENE FROM THE MAIN MANGANESE WORKINGS, A 2 TO 18 IN VERTICAL SHEAR ZONE THAT STRIKES NE CONTAINS FLUORITE FOR 1150 FT. BOTH COARSE AND FINELY CRYSTALLINE GREEN FLUORITE WAS DEPOSITED IN CREVICES ALONG WITH QUARTZ. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT HALF THE ROCK VOLUME CONSISTS OF RHYOLITIC DILUTENT IN THE WIDER PROTIONS OF THE SHEAR ZONE. FLUORSPAR MINERALIZATION TAPERS TO STRINGERS TO THE NE AND DISAPPEARS SW. |
