  • A 30 FT SHAFT, ON THE SAN CRISTOBAL VEIN EXPOSES AN 8 IN VEIN ON THE HANGING WALL AND A 10 IN VEIN ON THE FOOTWALL, SEPARATED BY 22 IN OF GRANITE. ABOUT 120 FT NW FROM THE SHAFT, A 50 FT LONG BY 2 TO 3 FT DEEP TRENCH EXPOSES 8 IN OF FLUORSPAR STRINGERS. ABOUT 30 FT NORTH OF THE LONG TRENCH, A 20 FT SHALLOW TRENCH EXPOSES STRINGERS TOTALING 6 IN OF FLUORSPAR. A NORTH-TRENDING VEIN (2000 FT NNE OF THE SAN CRISTOBAL SHAFT) CALLED THE LONE SPAR VEIN WAS WORKED BY A 30 FT SHAFT.

Deposit FLUORITE IS WHITE TO PALE GREEN AND GRANULAR TO COARSELY CUBIC CRYSTALLINE, FILLING FISSURES IN A PEGMATITE-GRANITE CONTACT ZONE. THE FOOTWALL IS PEGMATITE; THE HANGING WALL IS GRANITE. ORE BREAKS CLEANLY FROM THE WALL ROCK.
