  • THE VEIN HAS BEEN WORKED BY A 75 FT LONG BY 8 FT WIDE OPENCUT RANGING IN DEPTH TO 20 FT. NEAR THE SW END OF THE OPENCUT, A 100 FT SHAFT FOLLOWS THE VEIN DOWNWARD. THE VEIN WAS WORKED THROUGH THE SHAFT BY UNDERHAND STOPING.

Deposit FLUORSPAR OCCURS IN A NARROW FAULT ZONE THAT STRIKES N 55 E AND DIPS 80 NW. A MINERALIZED VEIN RANGES FROM 6 TO 24 IN NEAR THE NE LIMIT OF THE WORKINGS AND WIDENS TO AN AGGREGATE 3 FT WIDE OF CLOSELY SPACED FLUORSPAR VEINLETS IN CRACKS AND FISSURES INTERSPERSED IN THE ALTERED GRANITE NEAR THE SW END. THE ORE BODY WAS FORMED BY OPEN-SPACE FILLING WITH MINOR WALL ROCK AND BRECCIA REPLACEMENT. THE ORE MINERAL IS WHITE TO PALE GREEN AND MEDIUM CUBIC CRYSTALLINE.
