Deposit BOTH VALLEY-FILL GRAVELS ALONG CLEAR CREEK (LOUVIERS ALLUVIUM) AND BENCH OR TERRACE GRAVELS (CORRELATED WITH VERDOS ALLUVIUM) WORKED ELEVATED GRAVEL REMNANTS ABOUT 230 FT ABOVE STREAM LEVEL WORKED IN SURFACE CUTS AND APPARENTLY BY SOME DRIFTS. LARGEST CUT WAS 1300 YD, EXPOSING 23-FT FACE. PANS OF GRAVEL FROM BEDROCK CONTACT AND FROM UNDER LARGE BOULDERS YIELDED COARSE FLAT COLORS UP TO 0.25 INCH ACROSS. GRAVELS WERE NOT PARTICULARLY RICH NOR OF GREAT EXTENT.
