| Deposit | GENERALLY NE-DIPPING TRIASSIC TO JURASSIC SEDIMENTARY SECTION IS CUT BY NE-SW-TRENDING PYROXENE LAMPROPHYRE DIKE AND BY GENERALLY NORTH-SOUTH-AND NE-SW-TRENDING FAULTS. MINE IS LOCATED ON DIKE NEAR CONTACT BETWEEN ENTRADA SANDSTONE AND PONY EXPRESS LIMESTONE MEMBER OF WANAKAH FM. IF DEPOSIT IS SIMILAR TO THAT AT GRAYSILL MINE 4 MILES TO SE (SAN JUAN CO.), ROSCOELITE ORE AND POSSIBLY CARNOTITE ARE ASSOCIATED WITH CARBON TRASH IN ENTRADA SANDSTONE. MINERALIZATION MAY HAVE BEEN INFLUENCED BY PROXIMITY TO SILLS AND DIKES AROUND FLATTOP MOUNTAIN AND HERMOSA PEAK. |
