| Deposit | NELSON AND RIESMEYER (1983) DESCRIBE DEPOSIT AS AURIFEROUS PYRITE-MAGNETITE CHERT LAYER FOLDED INTO STEEP WEST-PLUNGING SYNFORM CORED BY COARSE-GRAINED GABBRO. FOLDED CHERT LAYERS AROUND CHAMPION AND GUNNISON MINES ARE DISPLACED BY NW-TRENDING FAULTS. SOUTHERN LIMB OF CHAMPION SYNFORM IS SHARPLY ATTENUATED, AND CHERT THICKENS IN NOSE OF SYNFORM. |
