| Deposit | A VEIN WHICH IS TRACEABLE OVER THE BARE SLOPE ON THE E SIDE OF MISSOULA GULCH IS TOO ZINCKY AND TOO LOW IN VALUE FOR WORKING HAS AN OFF-SHOOT WHICH RUNS NW INTO THE GAGNON VEIN. THIS OFFSHOOT SPLITS AS IT PASSES THE HANGING WALL IS SMOOTH AND REGULAR, IT MARKS THE OUTER SERIES OF THREE OR FOUR PLANES SHEETING THE GRANITE. THE FOOTWALL IS IRREGULAT AND ROLLING. THE GRANITE IS DECOMPOSED TO A SOFT AND CLAYEY MATERIAL IMPREGNATED WITH MINERALS. THE VEIN DIPS 60-65. THE PAY STREAK RUNS ACROSS FROM THE HANGING WALL TO THE FOOTWALL AND IS MARKED BY AN OXIDIZED ZONE AND MANGANESE. THE LEDGE CARRIES RICH ORE FOR AU AND AG. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER VEINS IN THE SILVER KING MINE, MOST ARE ZINCKY. |
