Deposit VEIN LIES IN FAULT TRENDING GENERALLY N 70 E AND CUTTING SUNSHINE PEAK TUFF AND MEGABRECCIA WITHIN LAKE CITY CALDERA. WOOLSEY (1907) OBSERVED ORE TO OCCUR IN SMALL, NORTH-PITCHING SHOOTS, BEING CONSIDERABLY BROKEN, CRUSHED, AND MIXED WITH GOUGE. ORE REPORTEDLY OCCUPIED INTERSTICES OF OLDER FISSURE BRECCIA AND SLIGHTLY IMPREGNATED WALLS. SILIFICATION AND PYRITIZATION EXTENDED INTO WALLROCKS FOR CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE.
