Deposit Discovery Year: 1930'S
Deposit SEVERAL LITHIUM - BEARING PEGMATITES CROP OUT IN AMPHIBOLITE. THE DIKES ARE NORTH- TRENDING AND HAVE A STEEP DIP. THEY RANGE FROM A FEW INCHES TO 20 FEET WIDE AND UP TO 150 FEET LONG. THE INNER ZONES ARE LENTICULAR AND ARE COMPOSED OF QUARTZ AND PERTHITE AND THE OUTER ZONES ARE MOSTLY ALBITE, LEPIDOLITE AND MUSCOVITE. ACCESSORY MINERALS INCLUDE AMBLYGONITE, TOPAZ, APATITE, SPESSARTITE AND MICROLITE. ANHEDRAL BERYL AND RHABDOPHANITE HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO HAVE OCCURED IN THE PAST.
