  • 4 ORE BODIES in a sandstone lens in the upper unit of the lakota-fuson formations undivided, of Early Cretaceous age. Canotite and tyuyamunite are the preincipal ore minerals, and samples high in uranium are also high in selenium and arensic.

Deposit UNDERGR.= TR. TO 1.93% U OXIDE; SURFACE= .005-.34% U OXIDE; STOPED IN 1955. OPEN CUT UNDERGROUND OPERATION
Deposit Mining operations, both open cut and underground, by Homesake Mining Company ceased in 1955. At that time samples from underground workings varied from a trace to 1.93% U3O8; those from surface workings 0.005-0.34% U3O8. (Bull. 50, p. 212)
