  • IN A BASIN AT THE HEAD OF KEARNS GULCH.
  • Political location in record is Granite county. The MRDS location-problem GIS test indicated the lat/long falls in adjacent Missoula county. However, the topo sheet, Google Earth, and County100 coverage plot it 780m inside Granite county. The true location is probably in Granite county, but the location comment IN A BASIN AT THE HEAD OF KEARNS GULCH and the relative position information 1.2 KM NW OF GARNET indicate a location several hundred meters to the NW of the current lat/long. Kearns Creek is found in geonames. Duplicate record 10172997 lat/long agrees with this information. During duplicate reduction, the the duplicate record 10172997 location should be used.
