  • AROUND 1855 FIVE PITS HAD UNCOVERED ORE; IN 1879 A NUMBER OF NEW OPENINGS HAD BEEN MADE. FOUND ONE 10 FOOT BY 5 FOOT COLLAPSED PIT. NOT MUCH TAILINGS AROUND.
