Comments on the location information

  • A MR. WIGGLEY OWNED THE PROPERTY, AND THE HILL IS TERMED WIGGLEY HILL. THE COPPER MINERALS ARE IN THE BASAL GARBER SANDSTONE AND IN THE WELLINGTON SHALE BELOW, MOSTLY ON THE W. SIDE OF THE ROAD IN SEC. 24. FROM 1967-1972, WOLF RIDGE-TETON CO. DRILLED MANY SHALLOW EXPLORATORY WELLS IN SECS. 7-8, 17-20,-4N-1E AND ADJACENT AREAS, HAVING LEASED 6 SQUARE MILES OR MORE. A.C. SHEAD (1929, P. 27-28, 83-85) ANALYZED 23 SAMPLES FROM THE PAOLI AREA, COLLECTED BY C.W. HONESS. THIS WAS THE TEEPEE QUEEN COPPER CO. LEASE, COVERING 6 SQUARE MILES OR MORE. LOBELL (1986) FIRST DESCRIBED BROCHANTITE AND OTHER MINERALS FROM THIS LOCALITY.
