Comments on the location information

  • IN 1905 THIS WAS ON THE PROPERTY OF JOHN E. BRUNKER. MR. A. HYMER DUG THIS IN 1905, AND LATER THE PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED BY MR. BRUNKER. RYAN (1936, SHEET KR-26) IS THE ORIGINAL SOURCE FOR THIS. MR. HYMER WAS GRUBSTAKED BY FRANK LUGERT. MR. HYMER LIVED NEARBY. LATER HE WENT INSANE AND DIED IN AN ASYLUM. RYAN (1936) GAVE LOCATION AS SW-NW-NW-NW, BUT POLK (1948) GAVE NE-SW-NW-NW. RYAN (1936) SAID THAT THE PIT WAS 60 FT DEEP, AND HE FOUND PYRITE BUT NO COPPER, GOLD, OR SILVER. RYAN (1936) GOT HIS INFORMATION FROM JOHN BRUNKER.
