Comments on the location information

  • IN BLOCK A-240, JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOL LAND SURVEY (THE SECTIONS ARE ONE-HALF BY ONE-HALF MILES). PROBABLY WITHIN 300 FT TO N. IS WHERE COPPER WAS PROBABLY LOCATED. AN EXACT LOCATION WAS NOT GIVEN. IT IS SHOWN TO BE ON A RIDGE BETWEEN THE HEAD OF UNION CREEK AND THE SW BEND IN THE WEST FORK OF THE TRINITY RIVER. THIS WOULD BE IN SANDSTONE NO. 6 OF THE ARCHER CITY FORMATION OF HENTZ AND BROWN (1987).
