OF MOUNTAIN, ALONG ROAD, AT ABOUT EL. 1,430 FT, A 4-INCH SHALE, .003% CU, FROM FLOWERPOT SHALE. THE MEASURED SEC. 9 OF SMITH (1974, P. 60, 63, 67, 74) WAS ALONG THE ROAD E. AND S. OF TEACUP MOUNTAIN WHERE 50 FT OF FLOWERPOT SHALE WAS MEASURED, FROM EL. 1,440 FT TO 1,500 FT, WITH MALACHITE AT BASE, IN 7-INCH SHALE AND SANDSTONE, ASSAYING AT 0.14% CU. STROUD'S (1970, P. 38) SAMPLES 29-30 (USBM, SAMPLE NO. 5, RAF 9-10) WERE FROM AN 8-INCH SANDSTONE (1.05% CU) AND AN 8-INCH SHALE (1.10%) IN THE FLOWERPOT, PROBABLY IN THE SAME AREA AS THAT OF SMITH, IN SEC. 2.
