Deposit THE LOWER SAN ANGELO COPPER BED IS 1.2 FT OR LESS THICK AND OCCURS OVER SEVERAL SECTIONS IN THIS AREA, BUT IT MAY BE SPORADIC.
Deposit STROUD AND OTHERS (1970, P. 41) IS MAIN REFERENCE. FOR CORE HOLES C-6, C-8, C-9, REFERENCES ARE STROUD AND OTHERS (1970, P. 72-73, 74, 75-76), GALLOWAY (1970, P. 44, 46, 47), AND SMITH (1974, P. 65-66, PL. IV). THE COPPER MINERALS ARE IN THE LOWER SAN ANGELO FORMATION SANDSTONE AND SHALE. ALL SITES ARE ON THE J.L.C. MCFADDIN RANCH. SMITH (1974, P. 59, 68) MEASURED 103 FT OF CHOZA-SAN ANGELO IN THE SE SEC. 29 (MEASURED SECTION 12). THE UPPER 22 FT WAS SAN ANGELO WITH MALACHITE AT BASE.
