THE PROSPECT WAS NOT A MINE, BUT THREE, 12-FT LEACHING TANKS, BUILT IN 1945. ABOUT 0.5 MI N. (BY ROAD) OF SAMPLE 14 SITE, ON N. SIDE OF LITTLE CROTON CREEK (MUSTANG CREEK), W. OF ROAD ABOUT 500 FT, AND UP RAVINE, WAS MEASURED SEC. 22 OF SMITH (1974, P. 68), CONSISTING OF 54 FT OF SAN ANGELO-CHOZA. ALL COPPER SAMPLES WERE FROM L. SAN ANGELO. ACKER (1939, P. 48) MENTIONS THE HARRIS AND HARKINS MINE.
