General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE FLOWERPOT SHALE CONTAINS LENTICULAR SANDSTONE WITH MALACHITE AND CHALCOCITE. SOME THIN DOLOMITES AND GYPSUM NODULES ALSO OCCUR. THE ENTIRE SECTION THAT CONTAINS COPPER IS ABOUT 8 FT THICK.
Deposit SMITH (1974, P. 62, 64, 69, PL. V) COLLECTED SAMPLE #1 ABOUT 1000 FT SE OF MINE. MEASURED SEC. #2 WAS IN BLUFF TO W. SAMPLE #3 AND MEASURED SEC. #3 WERE AT THE MINE.
Deposit SMITH (1974, PL. VB) AND STROUD AND OTHERS (1970, P. 37, MINE 12, SWENSON RANCH). SMITH (1974, P. 62) SAID THAT THE ADITS WERE COLLAPSED. FURMAN (1881, P. 17) MENTIONS THIS AREA.
