Deposit A NEAR SURFACE RESOURCE COVERS AN AREA OF 3.6 KM BY 450 M AND PROBABLY ABOUT 9 M THICK. BODY IS ORIENTED N-S AND CONSISTS OF 3 LAYERS OF DIATOMITE SEPARATED BY SAND. THE MIDDLE LAYER IS FAIRLY SAND-CONTAMINATED. IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE DIATOMITE WAS DEPOSITED IN A BRACKISH TO FRES-WATER ENVIRONMENT.
