Deposit CHRYSOTILE ASBESTOS OCCURS IN FAULT ZONES ALONG THE CONTACT OF PORPHYRY AND LAMPROPHYRE DIKES AND EOCENE PERIDOTITE. THE CHRYSOTILE OCCURS IN SERPENTINIZED ZONES A FEW TENTHS OF METERS TO 600 M LONG AND 0.1 TO 6 M THICK. THE CHRYSOTILE IS IN SMALL AND LARGE NETWORKS OF THIN VEINLETS HAVING A FIBER CONTENT BEWEEN 0.8% AND 9.0%. IN THE NORTHERN AREA OF LOGHAR, ARE 2 OREBODIES-- ONE 40 X 90 M AND THE OTHER 30 X 400 M IN SIZE. THE BODIES HAVE 4.14% AND 4.17% FIBERS, RESPECTIVELY. THE FIBERS ARE 2-10 MM LONG.
