General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE DEPOSIT IN BUYUK KIRECLIK INCLUDES COLEMANITE, MEYERHOFFERITE, AND PRICEITE, BUT KUCUK KIRECLIK CONTAINS ONLY COLEMANITE. AT BUYUK KIRECLIK, NODULES OF PRICEITE OCCUR WITHIN THE COLEMANITE. THE ORE-BEARING LAYER IS ABOUT 2.5-3.0 M THICK. THE ORE HAS MANY CAVITIES WITH LARGE CRYSTALS LINING THE WALLS. CLAY PARTINGS CONSTITUTE ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE DEPOSIT. BENTONITE IS FREQUENTLY FOUND WITHIN THE GOUGE IN THE ROOF OR FLOOR OF THE DEPOSIT AND IS CONSIDERED TO BE OF TUFFACEOUS ORIGIN. THE BENTONITE MAY BE 0.1-0.2 M THICK AND OFTEN EXHIBIT SLICKENSIDES ON THEIR SURFACES.
