Deposit THERE ARE AT LEAST 11 SPRING APRONS AND (OR) GEYSER CONES. DEPOSITS ARE SMALL, CONTAINING A FEW HUNDRED TO A FEW THOUSAND TONS OF ULEXITE. DEPOSITS ARE QUITE PURE, ALMOST ENTIRELY COMPOSED OF ULEXITE. CALCITE, IN THE FORM OF CALCAREOUS TUFA IS A LATE STAGE MINERAL FORMING THE CONE OF ONE DEPOSIT AND AT OTHER DEPOSITS OCCURRING AS THIN BEDS OVERLYING MOST OF THE ULEXITE. THE LARGEST SPRING WAS STILL BUBBLING AT A TEMPERATURE OF 59 DEG F IN 1955 AND WAS EMITTING SALTY WATER AND CO2(?).
Deposit THIS RECORD CONTAINS DATA FROM DUPLICATE RECORD AR08251 WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED FROM MAIN MRDS.
Deposit YOUNGER BASALTS CAUSED THE DEVELOPMENT OF COARSELY CRYSTALLINE COLEMANITE.
