| Deposit | PLAYA-TYPE DEPOSIT. ULEXITE OCCURS AS IRREGULAR MASSES AND NODULES. BORATE MINERALIZATION OCCURS OVER THE WHOLE SURFACE AND THERE IS NO SALT CRUST OR HALITE BEDS. THERE IS A CLOSE SPATIAL ASSOCIATION WITH HOT SPRINGS AT THE EDGES AND IN THE INTERIOR OF THE SALAR. THE SURFACE BED OF ULEXITE IS ABOUT 1 M THICK. ULEXITE OCCURS PRIMARILY AS HARD BEDS OR AS AGGLOMERATIONS OF NODULES UP TO 1.2 M IN SIZE. |
