Deposit BORATES ARE CONCENTRATED ON THE SIDE OF THE BASIN WHERE HOT SPRINGS ARE FOUND. BORAX AND TINCALCONITE ARE FOUND IN SALT LAKES OF THE CARBONATE-TYPE; OTHER BORON MINERALS ARE FOUND ASSOCIATED WITH SULFATE BRINES.
Deposit BASIN IS ARID, RECEIVING ABOUT 25 MM IN ANNUAL PRECIPITATION.
